Actemium has been commissioned by Siemens to install electrical as well as instrumentation and control equipment for the steam turbine of the new Block 3 of the Finnish Olkiluoto nuclear power station near Helsinki.

Although the work is being carried out in the non-nuclear section of the power station, nevertheless even here extremely high demands on quality and safety apply. Dowels, welded joints and electrical connections are subject to stringent inspections. For Siemens, Actemium’s high standard of qualification and safety track record were ultimately decisive when it came to awarding the contract.
On average 30-40 service technicians will be working on the construction site until late summer 2009.
