Vattenfall commissions Actemium with improving the line protection for the 110kV power line 524 in Berlin.

The Eichhorst transformer substation in the Berlin urban district of Reinickendorf is being integrated in a ring topology network utilising two 110kV power lines into the Vattenfall Europe Berlin AG & Co. KG supply grid, which is fed from the Wittenau transformer substation. The relay protection systems that secure the electrical power supply for the cables have reached the end of their technical life. Actemium is renewing the protective relaying for power line 524 in both transformer substations. In addition to planning and project engineering, the scope of services includes on-site installation and parameter initialisation of the new relays, including corresponding startup tests.
