The Essen BU invited its customers to an energy efficiency roadshow at the Casino Duisburg. The event took place in the most modern and efficient casino of its kind in Germany.

After the guests were welcomed, the structure and range of services of the BU were presented. Following this, Volker Baumann (Business Development Energy Efficiency) held a keynote speech on the topic of energy efficiency, in which he illustrated Actemium’s approach in this area and explained the new legal stipulations. He rounded off his speech with a practical example relating to compressed air in the paper industry and some references of projects that have already been realised.

The subsequent discussion showed that energy efficiency is currently a hot topic everywhere. It not only relates to purchasing electricity, but also to a wide range of energy sources (e.g. compressed air, cooling energy, heat, etc.) within a production. Customers left with the realisation that automation can make a big difference in making production more energy efficient.

The participants were impressed by the event and went home full of energy.
