Having already executed the main order, the Actemium Berlin BU has now been re-commissioned by the Italian plant engineers Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali to carry out extensive technical alteration work on Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH’s continuous pickling line.

The particular challenge is that the electrical, instrumentation and control systems have to be installed within a very short time frame. The plant will be shutdown only twice – for 3 days in October and for 8 days in December. After that, all systems must once again be go. A tough call for the on-site team.
