Project description: | The capacity for product revenue of the BP Nederland B.V. Amsterdam oil terminal was significantly extended through the building of additional shipping quays. At the same time, facilities in the fuel depot were modernised and expanded. The installations were executed on the basis of plans drawn up by Jacobs Nederland B.V. For special executions, contracts were concluded with subcontractors from the Netherlands and Germany. All work on the oil terminal was carried out in compliance with stringent safety regulations, as there was continuous exposure to potentially explosive product/air mixtures and an especially high risk of accidents on the shipping piers. As a result, risk analyses and safety assessments were required for all work, which were carried out jointly by us, Jacobs and BP. Additional services were performed in the areas of materials management, layout engineering, loop tests and startup assistance.
